The owner called for a change in the rules after her dog was injured at the Cumberland kennel.

Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. 16-week-old golden retriever puppy Naggi was delivered to Noah’s Pet Hotel in Mechanicsburg on August 5 while her owner was on vacation in North Carolina.
Two days later, owner Lauren Moss received the sad news that Najib had been attacked by another dog at the kennel.
Moss said an employee at Noah’s Pet Hotel told her that when the kennels opened at around 6:30 am, Najib was found with his front paws stuck in a gap in the indoor fence and elsewhere in the dog kennel.
“A breach in the inner fence caused two of Najib’s front paws to slip into the kennel next to him, and another dog started attacking Najib, inflicting horrific injuries on him,” Moss said.
Najib suffered several serious bites on his leg and was taken to the Coastal Ambulance Veterinary Service, where he remained for a week. He spent the next few weeks with cones and bandages.
Nearly two months later, Moss said that Najib had largely recovered, although he had scars on his legs and sometimes limped.
However, Najib’s recovery is not the end of Moss’s story. She believes the kennel violates a Pennsylvania law that requires dog paws in kennel enclosures: does not cause injury to the dog.”
However, in March, Noah passed an inspection by the Pennsylvania Canine Administration, which is part of the Department of Agriculture.
Following the incident, the Department of Agriculture said the nursery violated fence standards.
“Do I think they want this to happen? No,” she said. “But I think they could take steps to fix this with us and at least offer an apology and some sympathy.”
Moss is a legislative assistant to two state representatives — Rep. Jason Oritai (R-Allegheny/Washington) and Rep. Natalie Michalek (R-Washington) — and she said she is working with them on a bill to amend Pennsylvania. dog laws. She hopes more specific rules and stricter penalties will prevent more dogs from being harmed.
